About RoadFlag

A free, live map of what's happening on the roads – fallen trees, flooding, power lines down, snow and ice – reported by the people driving them, alongside every official source we can bring together in one place. Started in West Wales; built for the whole of Wales and beyond.

What we're doing

Every day, what you need to know about the roads is scattered across Facebook groups, council pages, bus company websites and official feeds – and it's often out of date by the time you find it. A tree down on your way to work, a flooded lane on the school run, a bus that isn't coming, roadworks on your route: RoadFlag puts it all on one map, kept up to date by the people using the roads.

Reports from the road

Anyone can drop a pin with a photo in seconds. Others confirm it's still there or mark it clear, so stale reports fade out.

Official information

Closures, incidents and roadworks, weather warnings, flood warnings, high rivers and power cuts – shown as diamonds so you can tell them apart.

Buses

Bus routes turn red when the operator has posted a disruption, with a link straight to their notice.

Fuel

Live forecourt prices, from the government's Fuel Finder service.

Where our information comes from

Everything except people's own reports comes from public, open sources. We read them automatically, every few minutes, and link back to the original wherever we can. None of these organisations runs or endorses RoadFlag.

Run a bus or coach company? You can post your own service updates on RoadFlag for free – cancellations, diversions, delays – and your routes turn red on the map with your message. Ask us for an operator account, then post at roadflag.uk/operator. If you already publish updates on a web page or feed, we can read that instead.

Full credits and licences are in our terms.

Who we are

RoadFlag is built and run in West Wales by LCM 4x4 Ltd, a small local company. It started during a storm in October 2026 – but it's built for every day, not just the stormy ones.
